Coffee Shop Bank
BusinessWeek’s Bruce Nussbaum is amongst the pre-eminent design thinkers of the world today. He considers Ziba Design to be one of the world’s top design companies. So when Umpqua Bank, one of Portland’s boutique banks wanted to transform their banking experience, they turned to Ziba. The project, completed in 2003, is still a quantum leap when it comes to most banks and their branches and revolves around the theme of surf, sip, read, shop and bank. The branches look more like design stores and spas rather bank branches. Called Greenspace, the new bank store is more than an environment; it’s an experience. Three large inspirational banners showing people enjoying moments when they don’t have to think about money define the tone of the space. Discover more Ziba thinking on their site.
