Building PR For Banks
James Gardener, in a recent post talks about how the PR folk for the banking industry are turning to community management. Gardener cites the example of Debbie Pfeifer of Wesabe the community that claims to be “a community of real people dealing with real money issues”. Debbie replies to umpteen e-mails and queries that she receives in her friendly disposition, making sure that bloggers, whose opinion she cares about, care about Wasabe in turn. Much nicer than a traditional PR exercise, we must admit.
