Poverty of ideas? Not here!
A few weeks ago when classified advertising company Bailout Booth wanted the world to see its message, it set up a little activation booth in Times Square, inviting people to tell their story in exchange for $50 or more. This lines up neatly with the idea of their site that lets people advertise things they want to sell with a small video. There was understandable skepticism about the whole thing, but once people realized that they could actually get money from the ploy, any reluctance disappeared. About 1,100 people passed through the booth during its two days of operation, and a total of about $100,000 was handed out. Upon reaching Bailout Bill’s desk, people told their stories to a camera crew. Everyone got at least $50, and some as much as $1,000. From The Times.
