Bank of America is always looking for new ideas. And the recession and crisis in the financial services industry has not dampened its appetite for innovation. Add it up. is a program that allows its customers to obtain discounts from online retailers and put those savings directly back into their bank accounts. While it may look like a straightforward cashback program, which it is, what the bank does really well is to integrate it all into a simple online webpage that customers can manage on their own. Once again it’s a great demonstration of how the bank understands current consumer needs and is going above and beyond banking as usual to deliver a new service offering. More here.
